Anirban R. Banerjee

Anirban R Banerjee is the winner of BEST LEARNING LEADER AWARD in 2017 – the National Award for Best in Class Learning and Development. A prominent Learning & Development Leader who has worked for various MNC’s across India, the award recognizes Anirban’s contribution in the field of enhancement of Quality of Learning & Development. His work on “Conscious Vs Unconscious Mind and Learning Effectiveness” has impacted Quality of Learning and Development interventions.

Anirban is also the recipient of 100 most talented Training and Development Leaders in Indian award from World HRD Congress presented by Times Assent in 2017.

He has close to two decades of experience in Learning & Development and Leadership Development across different sectors and business, having worked for organizations like AT&T, Tech Mahindra, IBM, Dr Reddy’s and Voltas in Senior positions as an Learning & Development Specialist.

He has received Award in 2008 for his contribution to Training & Development for his initiative “Learning with Leaders” at Tech Mahindra. In 2009, he was recognized as “Emerging Global Learning Leader at IBM ” for his Learning Initiative “Blue Knight”.

Anirban is a successful author and columnist. He is the author of a series on Leadership Principles entitled “Principles My Father Followed” that was published by the New Global Indian, Boston, USA (2011-2012). Anirban is a leading columnist with an English language national daily The Daily Pioneer http://www.dailypioneer.com/columnists/author/anirban . He writes column on leadership for People Matters - India’s leading journal on Leadership Development. He has been interviewed by New Global Indian a Knowledge and Current Affairs Magazine, published from Boston (USA). He also has a blog http://articlesbyanirban.blogspot.com/ He has writes a column for India Facts and News Bharati. His articles have appeared in Indian Express and Business World. He is also a speaker and spoken at many L&D leadership meets and conferences. Including Vibrant Gujarat Summit .

After graduating in Economics from St. Xavier’s College, Gujarat University in 1996, Anirban went on to complete his MBA in Human Resource Management from MIT School of Management, Pune (Pune University) in the year 1999.

Anupama Nithyanand currently leads the Learning Organization of Accenture Delivery Centres for Technology in India. She is a leader in technology and education with more than 27 years of business and academia experience, and has worked with leading Information Technology firms such as Wipro and Infosys in the past. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science & Engineering, a master’s in Business Administration, and several publications to her credit.

Mr. Chandel is currently the President and CHRO, Tata Motors, India’s largest Automotive Company. He moved to Tata Motors in 2014, from another Tata Group Company, Tata AutoComp Systems where he was the Group CHRO, Tata AutoComp Systems from 2005 to 2014.

At Tata Motors, as part of Executive Committee, he is actively involved in its turnaround with responsibility of various strategic growth initiatives of the company, pioneered various HR practices which are seen as trendsetters and industry benchmarks.

As part of the turnaround strategy, emanating from Company’s short, mid & long term strategy, he has piloted massive restructuring & reorganisation exercise across the company covering compression of hierarchy to flat structure, Job levelling, Banding, Management Assessment & structured placement exercise, performance planning & review, career & succession planning etc. - all driven towards making the organisation agile and lean, fighting machine to meet company’s goal of being amongst the top 3 players in Commercial vehicles worldwide and top 3 passenger car business in India.

Prior to joining Tata Group, he worked with Siemens in India, Germany and USA for almost 13 years where he held various assignments, incl. Regional HR Manager (North), Divisional HR Manager for newly formed Telecom Div., Corporate Head for Industrial Relations, Corporate Head of Leadership and HR Development & Head of Siemens ONE, Shared services Project. From 2000 to 2003, he led the Leadership Project at Global Headquarters of Siemens in Munich & subsequently at Siemens USA on a Business Integration Project from 2003-2004.

He was honoured with Leader of the Year award in 1997 by LMI Inc. USA.

Raj is Amazon’s Asia Pacific Director of Human Resources for their International Consumer Business as well as Global Technology & Business Operations Centers in the region. He joined Amazon in early 2011 as their India Head of Human Resources and supported the launch of several businesses and technology development centers in the country.

Prior to joining Amazon, Raj led HR for GE’s Global Research and India Technology Centers. He initially joined GE in 1999 and held various senior HR leadership positions supporting several businesses in various locations. Starting his HR career in the late 80’s, Raj has held several senior HR leadership positions across geographies in organizations such as Unilever, Ford Motor Company and HSBC. He also serves on the Advisory Boards of Forum for Women in Leadership and Society for Human Resource Management India (SHRM).

With close to two decades in the Human Resources field, Rajnish brings expertise in Organization Development, Strategic Business Partnering & Engagement, HR Communication & Talent Acquisition in IT, ITES & BFSI industries across multiple geographies.

Prior to joining WNS, Rajnish served as a Head of HR for L&T General Insurance Company & also led Engagement & Communication for L&T Financial services. Rajnish is a Post Graduate in Personnel Management from Pune University.

Rituraj heads the Global Learning & Organization Development function for this one of India’s top 3 leading pharma players which employs about 20,000 people worldwide and has operations in over 100 countries. Rituraj has a Masters in Marketing Management from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies. He has attended several other Advanced Management Programs from IIM Ahmedabad and Indian School of Business Hyderabad. With 29 years of world class experience spanning geographies and industries in India, Rituraj joined Lupin from IBM.

Rituraj started his career in Marketing with Voltas where he spent close to 5 years. He also worked with Blow Plast and Dabur before becoming the Head Sales & Marketing at Alembic Glass. Rituraj moved from areas in Marketing into areas in Human Resources like Learning & Development when he joined NIS Sparta. Rituraj is a trained facilitator and a certified trainer. Using his business insights clubbed with HR exposure, he has done extensive work in areas of Performance Development, Leadership Development and Organization Development across sectors with large MNCs and Indian organizations.

Rituraj has been awarded for sterling contribution to People Development by the magazine - The Human factor. He is also invited to be on the Academic Council Board of Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University. He is regularly invited as Speaker on various forums of HR and Business.

Rohit comes with 20 years of extensive and versatile expertise in Marketing, Business Development, Enterprise Consultative Selling, Experiential Learning, Market Research and Strategic Alliances in domestic and international markets. Worked with technology majors like Hewlett Packard and Redington.

He has led and successfully grown multi-million-dollar businesses from scratch for Start Ups and Established Business Entities alike. He also has been instrumental in leading cross functional teams and acknowledged by industry leaders for commendable execution capabilities.

In the L&D space Rohit has been a Free-Lance Trainer with more than 3000 hours of training and content delivery in the areas of Business Communication, Leadership, Soft-Skills, Sales & Marketing, Management Best Practices, and Retail. Has trained executives in organizations like HP, RIM, NESTLE, FLIPKART, MARUTI, PNB Housing Finance, HOT SPOT, THE MOBILE STORE to name a few.

Vikrant is Director – Capability & Skills Development at Tata Communications. Earlier he has worked with Infosys & airtel – India’s leading IT & Telecom organisations. L&D holds a higher purpose for Vikrant - ‘enabling people to make their lives richer through learning.’ Currently, Vikrant is contributing to transform the way Tata Communications employees learn & how can this contribute to skills transformation there. He is excited about the vast opportunity of learning & self-development that MOOCs present for people in every walk of life by ‘democratizing learning’.

A science graduate from M.S. University, Udaipur (Rajasthan) and an MBA in HRD from DAVV, Indore, Vikrant also holds a PG Diploma in HRD from Academy of HRD, Hyderabad, Dip. in T&D from ISTD, New Delhi and different professional certifications in learning & assessments. He also has 4 paper publications to his credit, of which one on Change Management has won him the ‘Emerging Thinker’ award from the Indian Society of Training & Development also.

In his leisure time, Vikrant likes to read, listen to music, get close to nature & to reflect. He also plans to start learning photography very soon through online learning.
